Se encuentran dos espacios principales que habitan sus
protagonistas; la naturaleza y la noche. Creo que uno puede representar mejor la
reflexión y el otro la expresión. Son dos espacios que disfruto.
In Vivencias de Ocio you talk about spaces of enjoyment when portraying youth. Which space do you feel is yours?
There are two main spaces inhabited by the protagonists: nature and the night. I believe one can better represent reflection and the other expression. These are two spaces I enjoy.
¿De qué manera te gustaría que el público viese tu trabajo?
Creo que lo que más aprecio de mi trabajo es la autenticidad del mismo. Lo que se capturó encausa emociones, pensamientos y tramas reales.
How would you like the audience to view your work?
I think what I appreciate most about my work is its genuineness. What was captured evokes real emotions, thoughts, and stories.
¿De qué manera transitas ser artista emergente en la ciudad/ país en el que residís?
A mí me cuesta apropiarme del título de artista, a pesar de que disfrute mucho de producir arte. Mi acercamiento al arte nace de una necesidad más bien utilitaria de capturar momentos para el recuerdo. En el rollo me fui encontrando con un abanico de posibilidades y formas de ajustar lo que uno quiere expresar a través de lo que
captura y el efecto que eso tiene en el receptor. Eso creo que me hizo darme cuenta de que lo que estaba haciendo era efectivamente arte.
How do you navigate being an emerging artist in the country/city where you live?
I find it hard to embrace the title of artist, even though I greatly enjoy producing art. My approach to art stems from a rather utilitarian need to capture moments for memory. Through film, I discovered a range of possibilities and ways to adjust what one wants to express through what is captured and the effect it has on the viewer.
I think this made me realize that what I was doing was indeed art.
